This lesson includes an introduction, and an overview of digestion, brain and behaviour.

2. ARTIODACTYLS: Even-Toe d Ungulates

This lesson includes habitat and location, physical characteristics, physiology, psychology and behaviour as well as significance to man. You'll learn about subgroups and suborders including the biology and behaviour of cattle, the biology and psychology of goats and sheep.

3. PERISSODACTYLS: Odd-Toe d Ungulates

This lesson covers horses and horse-like animals including asses and zebras, as well as domesticated horses. You'll discover their habitat and distribution, digestion, reproduction, behaviour, breeding, reproductive behaviour, diet and feeding and shoeing the horse.


This lesson covers aquatic ungulates such as dolphins, their evolution, habitat and distribution as well as digestion, reproduction, behaviour and significance to man. You'll learn about their physical characteristics and physiology, echolocation, the order Cetacea and Order Sirenia.


This lesson covers other ungulates including the orders Proboscidea, Tubulidentata and Hyracoidea. It covers their habitat, distribution, physiology, digestion, reproduction, behaviour and significance to man.

At the end of each lesson, you will be given a short interactive test to undertake, which will provide an indication of how your learning is progressing.

When you complete the very last lesson, you will be offered a more thorough automated test or examination.

This final assessment can be undertaken at any time of day or night; and any day of the week; and if you achieve an overall pass (60% or more); you will be able to obtain a “certificate of completion” with your name and completion date on it.
