We are frequently asked about becoming a garden designer and the also the licensing requirements around landscape construction.
These two are very different tasks, one involves design, the other construction. However, our courses do cover landscape construction because even as a garden designer you need to understand how it all works.
Landscaping is one of those confusing areas that happen in Australia with each state having a different set of rules.
The way we view it is:
If you want to design gardens and landscapes – our courses are perfect!
If you want to start a business and go around quoting on landscape construction jobs, you’ll need to something else such as a Cert III in Landscape Construction or a Certificate III in Horticulture.

It appears in Victoria if it’s under $10000 you don’t need a builder’s license.

Accreditation is used in place of licensing.
