If you’re undertaking work experience or graduate work, you’ll need indemnity insurance to protect yourself. In this blog, we’ll highlight some of the indemnity insurance options available to Australian graduates of online courses.

Please keep in mind that the insurance agencies mentioned in this blog are not affiliated with or endorsed by Careerline Courses. We encourage you to do your own research before selecting a policy that suits your needs.

What is Indemnity Insurance?

Indemnity insurance is crucial for all professionals who provide services or advice. By taking out an indemnity insurance policy when you start working in your field, you’ll be protected financially if a client claims that you acted with negligence when you provided services to them.

A client may claim you have been negligent because they believe you provided inappropriate advice, caused injury or financial loss, or made an error that adversely affected your client.

If a client takes legal action against you, indemnity insurance will cover at least a portion of your legal fees and other costs you may encounter during the legal process. Indemnity insurance does not cover intentional harm or fraud.
